Canon EOS R5 Mark II with RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens Review: The Ultimate Professional Hybrid Workhorse Kit
For high-end commercial photographers, studio artists, wedding shooters, and elite cinematographers, a camera kit must go beyond standard consumer boundaries. When a client assignment demands extreme file resolution for billboard-scale printing paired with accelerated, intelligent tracking automation and internal 8K 60p RAW video, standard hybrid bundles introduce too many compromises. The Canon EOS R5 Mark II Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera with RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens
establishes itself as the absolute benchmark for uncompromised professional performance .
By pairing a newly developed 45-megapixel back-illuminated (BSI) stacked full-frame sensor with an elite, constant-aperture luxury L-series zoom lens, this package covers everything from sweeping wide-angle landscapes to tight compressed portrait lookbooks without requiring a single lens swap. Let’s break down why this weather-sealed setup remains the gold standard for working multimedia professionals worldwide.

Key Features of the Canon EOS R5 Mark II Luxury Bundle
The EOS R5 Mark II professional kit relies on accelerated hardware sensor performance, class-leading sensor stabilization, and extreme computing throughput to eliminate technical friction from your shooting day.
- 45 MP BSI Stacked Sensor & DIGIC Accelerator: The integration of the back-illuminated stacked sensor architecture paired with the DIGIC Accelerator engine significantly increases data readouts. This alignment dramatically reduces electronic rolling shutter “jello” distortions while pulling clean, detailed 45-megapixel assets with massive dynamic range.
- Elite RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens: As a member of Canon’s elite luxury (L-series) lineup, this lens features a constant f/4 maximum aperture, ensuring your exposure settings remain identical whether shooting wide at 24mm or zoomed in at 105mm. It houses specialized aspherical and Ultra-Low Dispersion (UD) elements to eliminate chromatic aberration, backed by Air Sphere Coating (ASC) to suppress ghosting and flare.
- Next-Generation Eye Control AF and Action Priority: The high-resolution EVF tracks your eye movements natively, allowing you to select an autofocus tracking point simply by looking at your subject. Furthermore, the upgraded Action Priority mode utilizes deep learning to automatically recognize specific sports maneuvers (such as football shots or basketball passes), shifting the focus point instantly to the player driving the play.
- Internal 8K 60p RAW and uncropped 4K 120p Video: The video framework receives a serious broadcast cinema overhaul. It records internal 12-bit 8K RAW video up to 60p across the full sensor width. It also supports high-speed 4K video up to 120p in 4:2:2 10-bit , embedding professional Canon Log 2 and Canon Log 3 profiles for advanced color grading.
- Upgraded 8.5-Stop In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS): The internal sensor-shifting stabilization matrix is structurally enhanced to provide up to 8.5 stops of stabilization at the center of the frame. When paired with the optically stabilized RF 24-105mm f/4L lens, it delivers a massive 8.5 stops of Coordinated IS correction , letting you capture sharp, multi-second exposures or smooth, fluid handheld video tracks without a tripod.
Professional Build Quality & Workflow Integration
The physical construction and dual-slot media architecture ensure the system thrives under the harsh realities of daily professional assignments:
- CFexpress Type B and SD Memory Architecture: To manage the immense data pipelines generated by 45MP raw bursts and 8K 60p video capture, the R5 Mark II houses a mixed dual-slot bay containing one ultra-fast CFexpress Type B slot and one high-speed UHS-II SD slot for immediate data backup mirroring or overflow management.
- Weather-Sealed Magnesium-Alloy Chassis: Forged from high-tensile magnesium alloy, the core frame handles hard impacts effortlessly. Every button perimeter, door hinge, and command dial—including the lens barrel weather gaskets—is fully weather-sealed with protective rubber gaskets to block out heavy rain, fine sand, and thick studio dust.
- Neural Network Upscaling and Pre-Continuous Shooting: Borrowing advanced AI tools, the body can upscale RAW images in-camera up to a massive 180 megapixels while reducing noise profiles. It also incorporates Pre-Continuous Shooting, caching up to 15 frames before the physical shutter button is fully depressed to capture spontaneous action cleanly.
